Good evening!

We are excited to welcome back students to campus on Monday! I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. We are nearing the finish line for our Track Attack Campaign! Please be sure to read through the information below and help us meet our goal! PTO Announcements are also attached to this newsletter, so take a look at those as well. 

Reminders

  • Track Attack! If we meet our goal of $20,000, Mrs. Sims will be duct taped to the wall! Please help us raise funds to put towards enhancing the playground areas around the school! Please visit the link below and enter your student’s name to donate! Once on your student’s page, you will be able to send a personalized link to friends and family. You can also scan the QR code on the attached flyer.

  • CASTLE OF CANS: Our Youth Advisory Council is running a campaign for Castle of Cans through October 3rd! If we fill all of the bins with canned foods, our QUEST Director Michelle DiMarco will be pied in the face!

  • FUNDRAISER CHANGE! Our Clyde Campbell Elementary Butter Braids Fundraiser will now begin on November 3rd! We will be raising funds for School Events and projects with this fundraiser. It will run from November 3rd through November 19th, and pick up for items will be on December 10th. 


  • CCES Media Center Book Character Pumpkin Contest! We are hosting our first CCES Media Center Book Character Pumpkin Contest! Please see the information and specifics at the link. This project is an optional event to encourage literacy within our school, while incorporating writing and creativity!

  • Yearbooks are on sale! A yearbook is $26, and we are currently accepting cash or checks made out to Clyde Campbell Elementary. We will have the online payments open shortly! The last day to buy a yearbook will be March 24th; there will be no other chances after that date to purchase a yearbook!
  • Unicycle Club will be starting back up on Thursday, October 2nd! Forms need to be turned in to Mrs. Nobles by no later than Monday, September 29th. Unicycle Club is open to all 3rd -6th grade students who are ready to challenge themselves, learn a unique skill and most importantly - have fun! We will meet on Thursdays in the gym from 3:15 until 4 pm. You will need your own unicycle to participate. If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Nobles at briana_nobles@catawbaschools.net!
  • Battle of the Books! Reminder that 4th-6th graders who turned in a permission form for Battle of the Books, the preview will be on September 30th from 3:15 to 4:15!

PTO Udpates

  • Our next staff hospitality meal is on Friday, October 3rd. Please sign up to bring something if you are able. 

  • Little Indians volleyball registration forms for 4th-6th grades will be coming home this week. Registration is due by September 29th.

  • Track Attack is back!! Please help us raise funds to put towards enhancing the playground areas around the school! We are looking forward to making these spaces more enjoyable for our students and staff. Please visit the link below and enter your student’s name to donate!   • Please remember to re-enroll your Lowe’s Foods Fresh Rewards card in the Cart to Class program for Clyde Campbell Elementary. You are required to re-enroll each year, so please double-check your enrollment make sure CCE gets credit for your purchases. It’s a free way to support our awesome school!

  • Our next spirit night is coming up on October 6th! This spirit night will be at Jason’s Deli from 5pm-9pm. You must mention CCES for our school to get credit. For online orders, you can use the code FUND20.

  • Our next PTO meeting will be on Monday October 6th in the Media Center. We hope to see you there!
